Our Annual Meeting features panels, discussion, and other speakers focused on some of the most important topics of our industry. For 2022 we are bringing back our "Vision" talks - speakers who will inspire, drive our idea of what's possible, and make us think about the heights that science and innovation can achieve for human health.

1:15 PM - 2:00 PMPanel: Biopharma Leaders Discuss the Intersection of Diversity and Capital Formation
As biotech leaders grapple with the unique combination of economic and sector-specific challenges facing today’s market, access to capital has become paramount. While any number of factors may ultimately drive the decision to invest or impact a company’s ability to access capital, there is no doubt that relationships and all of the dynamics that typically guide person-to-person interactions matter. In this context, education, socioeconomic background, gender and race all play a role in how management teams are perceived and investment decisions are made. This panel discussion, sponsored by Evercore, will examine the challenges of accessing capital in the context of today’s evolving market through the unique lens of emerging biotechs led by people of color. Please join us for what will be an important conversation with a small group of biopharma leaders of color, addressing the intersectionality of diversity and capital formation at a key inflection point for our space.
